The Tree House

I know what you are thinking..... I did not build a tree house in my backyard. Let me back up and start from the beginning of the day. Jason had to go to work early, so Jackilyn and I slept in; what can I say? (The basement was cool, and after the last couple of nights I was tired!) Finally we got up, and ate chocolate muffins! She kept asking me if it was ok because we needed to eat breakfast and this was, in her opinion more like dessert. Don't get her wrong, she wanted the muffins, she just didn't want to get in trouble if it was not ok to eat for breakfast. Her and I then cleaned the HOT house. After baths and insta-drying I decided we needed out! So we got in the car and headed for who knew where, well any where there was air conditioning (ours is being fixed).
Some how we ended up at the Tree House museum in downtown Ogden. I had never been there, but I thought that Jackilyn might have fun. We went in, paid and began to explore. I have to say, it was pretty cool. It wasn't to crowded, there was tons for us to do!  My camera batteries were dead, so these are just from my phone.
First we made festival masks...

of course it had to be pink!!
They have this art center, where the kids can come in and make set up craft projects. We could have made paper dolls, but she liked the festival mask more. Next she wanted to run through and around the giant tree. We tried to take a couple pictures, but it was just so dark, and the phone camera is limited. She  ran and ran. I had a hard time keeping up with her as she went up and down staircase after staircase!

She is so excited to go on our camping trip. When we went over to the Native American Exhibit, she screamed when she saw the tipi. There were so many different things that she did, she really had a fun time! And, it was easy for me because at most exhibits there was a handy little place for me to sit while she played and played!
She kept telling me that it was like camping!

here we painted rock like the Native Americans, it was great because she could fling it anywhere she wanted because it was water!

We visited the littler German village center. She dressed up and was selling bread to me!
