Well today was my first day back at work, and I hated it! I am not going to sugar coat it. I was doing ok, when I first got up (since it was 5:45, I was still a little groggy since she didn't sleep until 12:45 last night) but then right as I was getting my keys to leave she woke up screaming to be fed. I fell apart. It was all I could do to walk out the door and get in my car. I drove from Ogden to Layton bawling my eyes out. Then I finally gained my composure and was ok. I missed her the entire day. I have to give my students props though. They really did a good job. I still had to reteach a ton of procedures but it was not as bad as I had anticipated. I have to admit that we didn't get as much accomplished as I might have liked but I was able to find out where students were and where to pick up teaching. I am counting the days until Friday!!! I have also decided that I think this will be my last year at East Midvale. I enjoy the people I teach with and the students but I just can't do the drive anymore.
